Opportunities for the Disabled  is a member-based charitable organization, and one of our main functions as a charitable group is to inform the public about disability related issues and happenings in, and throughout Canada.

More importantly the goals of this community program are to inform  physically challenged individuals about what services, and programs are available to them, and we accomplish this with our Disability Resource Guide and public forums.

The Big Issues that face each and everyone of us:   

 > Many individuals fall through the cracks in our social systems and do not recieve their special needs 

 > There is a rapidly aging population (baby boomers), 

 > There is an overburdened health care system and centers,

these are issues that we all face on a daily basis, and for these issues Opportunities for The Disabled conducts our Public Awareness Campaigns via door to door, in Malls, shopping centers, and via telephone campaigns.

Our campaigners hand out our Disability Resource Guides© in addition to collecting used medical, and computer equipment for our community recycling programs.

Opportunities For The Disabled  is self-funded and we rely heavily on the support of our members, and our community.

You can be involved by becoming a member, becoming a volunteer, or by donating to our worthy cause.

Your company can get involved by:

      • Becoming associated with our numerous events and projects
      • Supporting our varied Disability Resource Guide publications
      • Offering benefits to our growing membership base

Our current sponsorship programs demonstrate that corporations will benefit from exposure to a target audience of all ages and sustained links with Opportunities for the Disabled affiliates
