Opportunities for the Disabled is proud to present our sponsor and donor supported 2011 Disability Resource community Guides© and we would like to invite you or your company to participate in our special 10th Edition Disability Resource Guide© in B.C., 3rd Edition in Ontario, and our first for Quebec, and Alberta.

Our annual Disability Resource Guide has been an ongoing success since (1999), and has an ever increasing annual readership of over 65,000 people. Our goal this year is to distribute over 25,000 guides by hand throughout our communities via local malls, door to door, and the Internet.

Our volunteers and members distribute the guides in hospitals,malls, drug stores, and social service ministries throughout British Columbia,and other provinces.

However we cannot accomplish this unique mission without your kind and generous support.

Our Guide is the premiere local and free resource directory for physically challenged Canadians featuring essential yet not readily available disability related resource information:

Our resource directories feature Information about the following topics:  

> Education resources and employment opportunities

> Disability etiquette and information on dealing with disability

> Computer and adaptive equipment resources

> Recreational resources for people with disabilities

> Interesting articles and news clips pertaining to disabilities

> Government programs,services, and subsidies

> Organizations that help physically disabled individuals

> Weblinks - Ultimate resources locally and internationally

Distribution of the Disability Resource Guide will include the following areas:

> Hospitals,Medical Clinics,Doctor's Offices,Drug Stores

> It will be available on our official OFTDF Website

> Given out freely by participating social service agencies

> Distributed Door to Door, and in select malls throughout Canada
