PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Opportunities for the Disabled  is honored and appreciative to have various corporate and individual donors support our  computer donations program exclusively created to support people with disabilities.

When individuals or companies upgrade their systems or software, Opportunities for the Disabled welcomes them to donate their used computer equipment and/or software in exchange for a valuable tax-deductible donation receipt.

The O.F.T.D. has already placed hundreds of computers in good homes across Canada since our donation program inception.

This special program has proven to be a great success in assisting physically disabled individuals to receive a new sense of mobility, as it "virtually" removes an individual’s disability in terms of physical limitations. The disabled individual(s) can now travel the world and expand their usually limited horizons.

We currently have several applicants and requests for equipment from various disabled individuals throughout our communities. These requests range from laptops to computer pic symbol devices for essential daily communications needs if you have a computer or would like to support this unique community supported initiative please click here.

If you are in need of computer training we offer a free fundamental training program by request. We will email you a copy of our training program and or arrange time to help you with it step by step. You can now apply online for a computer. Our system is centralized so you can apply from  virtually anywhere and we will process the application and forward it to the nearest Opportunities for the Disabled location. You may also download our Grant Application for Assistance  here and mail it to us.
