Opportunities for the Disabled or O.F.T.D. is a direct action non-profit Canadian Charitable organization.
We are federally and provincially registered with chapter office locations in Burnaby, British Columbia, and Toronto, Ontario.
The organization consists of a voluntary board of directors, members, volunteers, bonded management, committees, and fundraisers.
How long has Opportunities for the Disabled been around?
Opportunities for the Disabled has been around for 14 years since we open our doors in 1996 from a small group of persons that had a simple desire to help the physically challenged.

Opportunities for the Disabled freely provides the following services and supplies to people with disablities in your community:

How much of my donation actually goes to OFTD ?
In fact all of it. We have to follow a disbursement quota and we maintain a very low operating cost
Where do contributions or membership donation go?
Contributions or membership donations goes directly to:
- Our local community projects, which provide wheelchairs, ramps, scooters, special vehicle adaptations.
- Our annual Disablity Resource information Guide
- International Relief Aid.
How and When are tax receipts sent to the donor?
Upon request and within 2 business days.
Can I donate any amount? Is it tax deductible?
Yes.
Is Opportunities for the Disabled secure?
Yes.
How is donor information used?
It is kept private and secure, we do not sell donor's information.
